Okanagan and Kooteney Rockies is home to a string of conservation areas and cultural gems. 04   Outdoor leisure & activities

The regional parks, farmlands, lakes and forests set a stage for the ultimate hiking, biking and camping adventures. There are plenty of activities to choose from throughout the itinerary. You can pedal through the historic Kettle Valley Rail Trail, or board the free Kootenay Lake Ferry for a 35-minute ride across the beautiful Kootenay Lake. If you prefer a leisure walk and rest, take a nice evening sunset stroll along the new Kicking Horse River path or take a dip at the Radium Hot Spring pools for a rejuvenating refresh.

05   Golden

Golden, an outdoor paradise located amidst the majestic Canadian Rockies. With it’s welcoming community, stunning landscapes and a myriad of year-round activities, it serves as a great base for Rockies adventurers to explore six of Canada’s most stunning national parks: Yoho, Glacier, Banff, Jasper, Kootenay, and Mount Revelstoke. Sky-high Golden Skybridge is just around the corner, while Kicking Horse River provides heart-pounding whitewater rafting experience. Ride the gondola to the top of mountain for a lunch or dinner at the Eagle’s Eye restaurant - the highest elevation restaurant in North America. In winter season, Golden is one of the world-class skiing location.

  • Travel south to Creston and visit Kootenay-Columbia Discovery Centre
  • Arrive at Cranbrook and visit Cranbrook History Centre
  • Overnight stay at the St. Eugene Golf & Casino
  • Day 5 : Cranbrook to Golden
  • Depart in the morning to Kimberley
  • Visit Marysville and stroll along Mark Creek to Marysville Falls
  • Continue to Fort Steele Heritage Town and visit the Wild Horse Theatre show
  • Experience Radium Hot Springs pool and enjoy golden fall foliage
  • Arrive at Golden and take an evening stroll along Kicking Horse River
  • Dinner at Eagle’s Eye Restaurant
  • Overnight stay at Kicking Horse Mountain Resort
  • Day 6 : Golden to Shuswap
  • Visit Golden Skybridge and experience mountain ziplines
  • Depart Golden for the Shuswap region
  • Visit Rogers Pass National Historic Site in Glacier National Park
  • Stop by Revelstoke and continue journey to Shuswap region
  • Arrive at Salmon Arm and enjoy a guided city tour in downtown

  • Day 7 : Shuswap to Vancouver
